Why did we start UEvangelize?
We started U Evangelize because we wanted to provide committed missionary disciples- the kind of people like you, who really want to change the world and bring others to Jesus- practical, hands-on, actionable resources that can make an impact on the world today.
We also created U Evangelize to gather and mobilize a community of like-minded individuals. Through our interactive webinars and Facebook group, we want to create a culture where we can support each other, pray for each other, share success stories and help each other in our shared mission.
The New Evangelization is Michael’s life work. A graduate of St. Augustine’s at the University of Toronto (MDiv) and Sacred Heart Major Seminary (STL with a concentration on the new evangelization), Michael brings a sharpened lens to the needs of the modern day missionary. He is the founder of Mission of the Redeemer Ministries and the New Evangelization Summit. Michael lives in Ottawa with his wife Linda and their two young daughters.
For 7 years Josh worked in campus ministry at two of the largest campuses in Canada- York University and then at the Newman Centre, University of Toronto. It was through his experience in campus ministry that confirmed his passion to work in evangelization and help more people come to an encounter and realization of Jesus’ awesome, saving love. Husband to Lisa and father to 5 children, Josh is the National Catholic Church Coordinator for Alpha Canada, and is founder and blogger at CanadianCatholic.net.
Lisa has been navigating how to be a Catholic in the secular world for much of her adult life. When not working on strategy for U Evangelize managing the operations and membership support, Lisa runs Lisa Canning Interiors where she shares her tips on creating a beautiful life at home on her blog and through television appearances. If Lisa lives to be 90, she hopes she is still running an Alpha program at her local church next to her husband, children and grandchildren.
